From spring beer to cocktail and from a crisp wine to a mocktail - spring is bubbling towards you. And how about a tasty tasting at Rutte? Experience the taste of spring, in your glass!
At this time of year, there is nothing more delightful than hitting the patio for a drink!
Thank goodness: more and more brewers are releasing a spring beer to match the sunny spring weather. If you love a spring beer, chances are you'll choose a spring bock. After all, this is the most typical spring beer there is! But also more and more white beers and blond beers are released as spring beer. Fancy a spring beer? With 14 beers on tap and about 150 beers in bottles/cans, it may be clear that this café is all about beer! And that includes spring beers. Enjoy them on the terrace of Café De Tijd.
At wine store and wine bar Red, White & Rosé, spring is celebrated with tasty fresh wines. You'll find mostly younger wines at this time of year, with crisp acidity and sometimes a little tingle. Especially with nicer weather, many people choose a fresh wine, Peter van den Berg knows. "As soon as the first sunshine comes through, people are on the doorstep for rosé. But also for example for a Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire, or for Albarino from Portugal. Along with rosé, these are great wines to drink with spring sunshine. But a red wine - this type of wine is sometimes a bit forgotten - is also ideal to drink at this time of year. Especially the lighter varieties; light red wine is nice to drink slightly chilled."
Fancy a refreshing, cozy-looking cocktail or mocktail? Enjoy the tastiest drinks at DOK Bar & Bites this spring. With and without alcohol! You can choose from six different cocktails, in which you often taste Spritz, such as with Limoncello flavor. With funky names such as 'Meet a Pornstar', 'Dark & Stormy' and 'Mango Mojito', you will soon be sitting at the terrace. Not in the mood for alcohol? Of course you can, go for a 0.0 cocktail, or mocktail! There are three types: 'Spice Mule', 'Passion Mojito' and 'La Paloma'. Sounds delicious too, right? Peter de Leeuw notices that more and more people are going for this 0.0 variety. "The mocktails, like the cocktails, look festive. Cocktails and mocktails can no longer be left off the drink menu - there really has been a switch from gin-tonic to these colorful drinks."
Go for a tasting at Rutte Distillery! One of the options is a tasting where you not only learn a bit about Rutte's history and the process of distilling and extracting, but where you also get a tour of kettles and barrels. This is followed by the tasting of various genevers, gins and liqueurs. Or go for the kopstoot tasting: a combination of a beer and gin. Not so much time? Then there's the mini tasting, with a small tour and a tasting of various Rutte products. Want to do it really well? Then choose the VIP tasting, for two to four people in the library with old recipe books.
