Festival Culture on the Corner
On Saturday, June 7, 2025, there will again be the Festival Cultuur op de Hoek. On that day, Dordrecht amateur art associations will be given a stage in the (inner) city. There will be performances, workshops and an exhibition; a great way to become acquainted with Dordrecht's many associations. This cultural festival is open to everyone free of charge.
Well-known and lesser-known names will perform between 11 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on two downtown stages and on indoor stages in the Art Church and Trinitatis Chapel.
Performances at Scheffersplein and The Court
At one of the terraces on the Scheffersplein, enjoy Timbres Divers, Swing Express, JD's BigBand, Machar and Concertband Prince Willem van Oranje along with Drechtstad Music Association.
Programmed on The Court are Phil Good, Phil Young and Phil Kidz, Young Jubal, Machar, Jubal Orange Brass, DOD Dance Orchestra and Spotlight Orchestra.
Performances in the Trinitarian Chapel and Art Church
A wide variety of choirs can be heard in the Trinitarian Chapel: Choir Everlasting, Vocal Group Different Voices, Vocal Group Route Sixteen and the Toonkunst Choir. In addition, theater company Inter Amicos will play a scene and musicians from the Dordrecht Accordion Center will perform.
The Kunstkerk offers a stage to Children's Choir ToBe Brave, Soulshine, VHA Mass Choir, Mixed Choir Orpheus Ensemble, Dordtse Dames en Heren, Vocal Group Route Sixteen and Merwe's Oratorium Vereniging.
Exhibition, information and Multi Painting
The painters of Studio '76 have set up an exhibition at the City Library (Groenmarkt 153). But they can also be found in the Vriesetraat to make some nice big paintings together with passers-by. Anyone can grab a brush and participate in this Multi Painting activity.
