A theatrical happening with real people!
Boys Won't Be Boys gives personal and honest stories of masculinity a stage, and is a dazzling sanctuary for a diverse group of players with talent to be men.
We are different, so what? No one fits exactly into a box, and that's exactly what we want to celebrate. By sharing all these different stories, we break through prejudices and stereotypes and come closer together. Boys Won't Be Boys is an upbeat indictment and ode to the concept of men.
About Boys Won't Be Boys
Initiator Rikkert van Huisstede (1993) lovingly and confrontingly sings overturning boundaries and boxes. He has an innovative take on themes such as gender, sexuality and love and a singing voice with a range of four octaves. In his attic room, the desire arose to create more space for boys and men to step outside the narrow ideal image of men.
Boys Won't Be Boys grew in no time into a major social theater project where now more than 120 actors and many young people are given the space to freely express themselves as human beings and theater makers.
The performance is on Saturday, May 17, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Register for the theater show through Tickets. A valid ticket to the museum is required for participation.
