What exactly is Kumpulan 2.0?
Kumpulan means "gathering" in Indonesian - and that is exactly what this event aims to be. Not a replacement for the traditional Pasar Malam, but a contemporary, recognizable addition that does justice to the many faces of the Indian community. Kumpulan 2.0 is small-scale, warm and of high quality. A place where generations come together, memories are shared and new encounters occur.
A tasty connection
Food plays a central role at this event. At Rebel Rebel you can enjoy flavorful vegan dishes, while Merz serves authentic Indian classics - prepared with original boemboes and lovingly curated by culinary experts from the community. There is something for everyone: from spicy rendang to surprising vegan satay.
Music, atmosphere and togetherness
Get carried away by intimate acoustic performances by regional artists on a cozy stage. The music provides the soundtrack to a day full of atmosphere, togetherness and nostalgia. Besides food and music, there are all kinds of activities: participate in a Potjo Potjo workshop, discover the atmosphere of tempo doeloe and be surprised by creative pursuits for young and old. The location will be stylishly decorated with Indian elements and atmospheric objects, courtesy of designer Patricia Blom, who provides a visual experience that makes history palpable.
