Through Sunday, May 5, the gallery/shop at Branderhorst, Voorstraat 199 in Dordrecht, features a colorful duo exhibition by Sidedish Projects from Amsterdam and Hipaholic from The Hague. Sidedish Sidedish, in collaboration with various designers and artists, releases a carefully curated, growing collection of high-quality prints. And they do it well: Lex Pott, Nynke Tynagel.... they are certainly no small names in the design world.
The exhibition at Branderhorst will also introduce the latest series, "Still Life" by designer Wieki Somers - a beautiful, subtle collection with which the designer not only shows the hidden qualities of her subject matter, but at the same time makes the viewer look at it in a different way. Sidedish focuses on making high-quality art more accessible, but also places importance on sharing the stories behind the various works. Just as a side dish complements a main course, they sincerely believe that art gains meaning when you know the story behind it
Hipaholic - PULP! PULP! Is a cheerful collection of objects by designer, maker and all-round stylist Anuschka Odau. Under the name Hipaholic, using paper pulp, she gives used objects and leftover materials a new, funky look - colorful, playful and fun. Eye candy that will make you happy. All objects are handmade, unique, durable and have a distinctive and unpolished look. Upcycled with love into new objects that add an accent to many a plain interior. With small imperfections, but that makes them special! From trash to treasure!
The exhibition will conclude on Sunday, May 5, with a special Meet & Greet where visitors will have the opportunity to meet the exhibition participants in person and learn more about the stories behind the work. Art lovers, collectors and the curious are welcome to attend this Meet & Greet on Sunday, May 5, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.
