The best way to travel in the region is with the waterbus. With a day ticket, you can take an unlimited ferry from Dordrecht to Zwijndrecht, Papendrecht, the Hollandse Biesbosch, Sliedrecht, H.I. Ambacht, Rotterdam, Krimpen aan den IJssel, Ridderkerk and Alblasserdam.
During the cruise you can hop on and off anywhere for a drink or snack, nice walk through the city or nature and past places of interest or a museum visit. You can even turn it into a bike ride, because the bike can come along for free. On the website you will find inspiration for getting out and about on the water bus. Day pass unlimited hop on/hop off €15.50 adults, children's day pass (4-11 years) €5. You can also pay with your OV-chipcard.
Three water buses are fully electric and operate in the Drechtsteden. The other ships are hybrid. The hybrid ships have a combination of electric and traditional propulsion and are used for the longer distances between Dordrecht and Rotterdam and to Sliedrecht.
