Jet's Favs, owned by Annejet Krijgsman, is a success. The young entrepreneur (17!) has had her boutique in the Vriesestraat for less than a year, but has already doubled her shop space by breaking through the wall with the vacant adjacent premises. More space for an even wider range of her personal favourites: colourful dresses, dashing skirts and cheerful outfits for young and old. "What I would like to wear myself, comes in the shop. Every week I buy new items, so that I can offer a new collection in the shop and in the webshop every week. The larger space allows the various items to stand out even better. I now have even more brands, jewellery and accessories such as bags and belts." Not only has the collection grown, Annejet is also working on additional staff to be able to open more often.
Rise and shine, it's pancake time! Stacks of hip, home-made American pancakes, all day long. This dream of pancake lovers has become reality with the arrival of Pancake District on the Voorstraat. Years ago, Caroline Versluis swapped the catering industry for education and now, with her husband Antoine in the background, she has returned to her first love. At Pancake District you can find sweet and savoury pancakes, there are vegan options, different toppings and surprising combinations. "A nice wine or special beer with it", advises the enthusiastic owner. "Would you prefer something else? Then I also have homemade soup and bagels. "Not only the pancakes are American. At Pancake District you can imagine yourself in The City with the wall-sized graffiti of New York. Hospitality in a friendly district. You can visit Pancake District every day (except Monday) from 8.30 to 17.00 hours.
The new spacious building with the big windows of Habets Herenmode at the corner of the Vriesestraat and the Korte Breestraat is bellissimo! It is a piece of Tuscany in Dordrecht. The Dordrecht colours, chandeliers, flower creations, the Habets family crest and the life-size pictures of Florence bring a piece of Tuscany to Dordrecht. And of course the authentic luxury clothing collection from the Netherlands and Italy that proud owner Mark Habets offers in his atmospheric shop. "We have improved in all aspects with this new location. The windows give a better exposure for the public interested in our menboutique.
Moreover, the collection is shown to its best advantage in the four corners we have created: for the shoes, sportswear (including the brand C.P. Company and Peuterey), Italian fashion and the atelier for the 100% Italian made-to-measure suits (LUBIAM with the fabrics of, among others, Loro Piana and Ariston) in which the Habets family crest is the common thread."
A high-quality six-course dinner, complete with wine pairing, in stylish surroundings. Entrepreneurs Patrick van Dijk and Alireza Hosseini have created a place with their restaurant Aan de Spuihaven that they love to go to. A place unlike any other with all the attention and time for the most delicious exclusive classic French dishes (oysters, lobster, fish, fresh meat, and much more) and the guests. The owners also think it is important that their restaurant is a nice addition to the range of restaurants in the city. Since the beginning of March, they have been running a trial run with the new enthusiastic team for small groups of guests. It is mainly dinners, but there are plenty of plans for expansion. Patrick: "In the future, we also want to offer lunches, receive more guests and of course we have a beautiful terrace.
