You might recognise it... you are walking through the city and want to be able to sit down somewhere warm. Where the fresh rolls are still in the oven, the English scones are actually real scones, served with clotted cream and not with whipped cream. This is possible at Coffeelicious! You would also like a delicious cup of tea, something special, instead of the standard tea bags from home. Or you might be longing for a good cup of coffee, not bitter but sweet, as it should be. Then you realise you are missing out on a lunchroom like this. Allow yourself a warm welcome at Coffeelicious and enjoy a delicious breakfast, lunch or just an espresso with a brownie specially made by chef Joan Buitenhuis.
Piacere Italiano is on the edge of the centre. Fresh and tasty dishes are the starting point and they try to reflect this in all their dishes. Products are freshly made every day and always assessed for quality. Sometimes directly from Italy and sometimes through intermediaries. For lunch, fresh Focaccia sandwiches are made every day that can be filled with various Italian meats. After 17.00 hours, the oven is switched on and delicious Italian pizzas are baked.
In the middle of the vegetable garden, located in the former pump house, is the restaurant of Villa Augustus. Open all day, seven days a week, with room for 200 guests. The restaurant is the ideal place for the gardener and the cook: from early spring to late winter, the Dutch season is visible and harvestable in the garden. Inspiring for both. All vegetables, fruit and herbs go directly to the cooks after harvesting. From the open kitchen, the heart of the restaurant, they prepare it as delicious (and beautiful) as possible. The menu has a limited number of dishes, some of which change every two months. They work as much as possible with organic products or products produced in an otherwise good way. Preferably from the direct surroundings, but beautiful ingredients from elsewhere in Europe are also possible.
At NO.38 City Bakery Café you are welcome to enjoy a nice cup of coffee with homemade cakes or a fresh sandwich made of desiccated bread. It is the ideal place at the Statenplein to end a visit to the weekly market, to meet up with friends for lunch, or to work between appointments.
NO.38 is also the place to go for breakfast, and is open from 9.00 am. For the afternoon, there are a number of tasty snacks and wines on the menu. Got a little less time? Then take a coffee, sandwich or smoothie to-go. For home use, the delicious freshly baked desiccated bread and homemade pastries are also for sale at the counter.
