Celebrating diversity together: you can do so on Saturday, September 2, at the Dordrecht Pride! An event that is celebrated together, from all over the region.
At the Dordrecht Pride, everyone is themselves!

Dordrecht Pride is the pride of this region. This year at a new location: the Stadhuisplein and the Groenmarkt. There you will find a pink market with lifestyle products, clothing, accessories and information. You can also get married for one day in the Stadhuis and there will be a fun stage program on the Stadhuisplein with performances by Antje Monteiro and Dave Dekker, among others. It really will be a party! Especially since a Belgian dance sensation is coming to liven up Dordrecht Pride: these dancers in heels will provide plenty of commotion and fun in the city.

Feast your eyes on the Pride Walk, a real eye-opener! From the shore, or Pride Walk from the water in a boat. The Pride Walk is an important part of the Dordrecht Pride that starts at the Otto Dickeplein. The entire region will be involved. Water buses from the Drechtsteden connect to the event via the water. Thus, the event can begin even before the Pride! Rather take the bus to Dordrecht? Of course you can. If you take QBUZZ to the city and you show a rainbow item to the driver you can take the bus for free! This way the whole region plays a role in the event. When everyone gathers on the square, the party can begin.

There is much to see and do during the event. There is a photo exhibition themed 'pink elderly' in front of the City Office. There is a silent disco - 'Dancing in the Street' - in front of the library between 5 and 7 p.m. and if you want to continue partying after the program ends around 11 p.m., go to the afterparty at Bibelot! Everything has been thought of on Saturday, September 2. For example, WE Fashion will make dressing rooms available especially for visitors to Dordrecht Pride for those who find it difficult to come to the event as themselves. There will also be a stylist present.
Celebrating diversity is the idea behind Dordrecht Pride, says organizer Lennart Lenskens. "We are sending a signal for more acceptance in the region. The Alblasserwaard is quite conservative; it is not always easy to be yourself. We did achieve gains with previous editions of Dordrecht Pride: visibility benefits acceptance. Fortunately! At the Dordrecht Pride you see a mix of everyone being themselves. From bi to gay and from transgender to straight. The differences are not so great - everyone is equal. Together, with the whole city and region, we celebrate Dordrecht Pride!"
