Downtown full of adventure

Or step inside the Hof van Nederland and discover more about the development of the Netherlands. Interactive games bring history to life and during the vacations there are also extra workshops and walks you can participate in. Huis van Gijn exists 100 years this year so definitely worth a visit during the vacations.
Events not to miss
Between April 18 and May 5, Dordrecht is full of fun events. On Sunday, April 19, feast your eyes on the Bee and Honey Market on Beverwijcksplein. There is Kermis in Dubbeldam, and of course, Koningsdag is a vacation highlight with lots of fun activities in the city center and beyond. The city turns into one big party with the Orange Market, performances and fun on the streets.
Sunday, May 4, is Swan Market and score vintage at the Art and Antiques Market on Nieuwkerksplein. And on Monday, May 5, we celebrate 80 years of freedom with a Liberation Festival on Statenplein. See you there!
Enjoying the Biesbosch
Fancy leaving the city behind and enjoying the beautiful blossoming nature? National Park the Biesbosch is just a stone's throw away. Rent a canoe and explore the maze of creeks and willow forests. Those who book a guide will get explanations about the special plants and animals along the way. You might even encounter a beaver!
