De rucola, paksoi, taugé, spitskool en alle andere groenten die Jermain Chin Fung Chun gebruikt komen van de weekmarkt. De oesterzwammen komen van het Dordtse Kwekersgilde en gebruikt hij onder andere voor de vegan roti oesterzwam massala. Alles bij Boer’n Bontje is vers, honderd procent halal en alles is net even anders. De Surinaamse achtergrond en de nieuwsgierigheid naar het Mediterrane gebied van de ondernemer komen terug in de authentieke gerechten. Op de kaart staan broodjes en roti, maar ook oso preti (huisgerechten) zoals bruine bonen met rijst en kip, bulgur met köfte en aubergine en rijst met pom, groenten en kip. “De smaakbeleving is internationaal, maar de meeste producten lokaal”, vertelt Jermain. En met een beetje geluk heeft Jermain zijn homemade alcoholvrije ginger beer koud staan. Proost!

De gerechten hebben weliswaar een Mediterraans karakter, de producten die we gebruiken komen allemaal uit de regio. Zo komen o.a. de paddenstoelen van het Kwekersgilde, maar alles is vers bij ons.” Bij een lekkere lunch hoort natuurlijk ook een bijpassend drankje. Een rode wijn vol van smaak of een glas frisse witte wijn, het restaurant heeft alles in huis wat past bij jouw (lunch)wensen.
